This is how the Smartphone interface works

Do you want to enjoy using your smartphone and rely on familiar content while driving? The Smartphone interface connects your smartphone³ to your car by bringing Apple Car Play and Android onboard your Audi. It also gives you access to content such as navigation, telephony, music, and select third-party apps while driving. Your smartphone contents are seamlessly transmitted via USB directly into the MMI display and can thereby be conveniently used via MMI or voice control. Simply add Functions on Demand later to configure your Audi and find out how well the Smartphone interface meets your needs.
