The matrix LED technology combines a camera system with LED light sources and precise optics for highly adaptive light distribution. If other vehicles are detected, the system selectively hides only the area of the detected vehicle, in the remaining segments, the high beam remains active.

This is how the Matrix LED package works
In addition to their high efficiency, LED headlights offer great advantages in terms of safety and comfort. With a colour temperature of approximately 5,500 Kelvin, their light is similar to daylight, so it hardly tires your eyes – especially in the dark and in bad weather conditions. In addition to the Matrix LED function, the headlights also have the following functions: daytime running light, dipped beam, high beam, position light, dynamic flashing light, all-weather light (to reduce glare in poor visibility), and automatic dynamic headlight range control. The marker light is available in conjunction with the optional Night Vision Assistant³. To mark detected pedestrians, individual LEDs flash three times in quick succession, clearly highlighting the pedestrian's surroundings. The dynamic flashing light is activated segment by segment at a rate of a few milliseconds and always runs to the outside in the turning direction when flashing.
