Audi has racing in its genes and the R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro has plenty of this genetic material. You can see this from every angle: from the powerful air intakes next to the wide Singleframe grille at the front, through the sharp-edged side lines, through to the raised diffuser at the rear. This 620HP Coupé marks the exact transition between the race track and the road.
Shining form: the charisma of ascari blue is exclusively reserved for the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro.
The LED headlights are optically darkened and accentuate its sporty, streamlined design.
Spoiler alert: the rear of the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro reveals a large, fixed spoiler made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP).
Character study: the passenger space is shifted towards the front of the vehicle, betraying the racing in its genes.
The elevated diffuser and shiny black, elliptical tailpipes are part of series production for the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro.
Confronts mediocrity head-on: flat slits in the front hood evoke the brand icon, the Audi Sport quattro.
At the rear, 118 LEDS form a striking, widely visible illuminated signature.
Focused on you: the interior of the Audi R8.
Standard for the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro: leather/alcantara covers with accents in mercato blue and decorative touches in ultra-glossy carbon.

The chassis: precision from every perspective
In addition to performance, racing is about how precisely and directly you can replicate it on the road. The chassis is a key part of the answer: dual aluminium wishbone axles guide all four wheels, while the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro features springs and dampers that are set up to be even tighter. With Audi magnetic ride, there is the option to have the damping system adapt to the way the shock absorbers work to suit your driving style and the profile of the road – making changes every millisecond for each individual wheel. The re-tuned steering assistance ensures exceptionally accurate feedback from the road. The optional dynamic steering adjusts the steering angle depending on your speed, ensuring agile handling. The standard carbon-fibre-reinforced ceramic brakes on the Audi R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro come in anthracite grey as standard and are also available in red.
Role model racing
The Audi R8 LMS, has enjoyed success on prestigious circuits all over the world. So far, it has clinched four overall victories at the 24 Hours Nürburgring and the Total 24 Hours of Spa, and one in Dubai. Among other sprint and championship titles, it has already topped the leaderboard three times at the Bathurt 12 Hour. The closeness of the relationship between the R8 LMS and R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro can be seen in the number of identical parts: 50 percent compared to the GT3 version. For example, the V10 engine is almost identical in both vehicles. The production model even shares 60 percent of its parts with the sports car Audi R8 LMS GT4.
Interior: focus and elegance
With its cockpit design, it’s no coincidence that when you get inside the new R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro, you feel like you’re behind the wheel of a race car. The heated sports seats are electrically and pneumatically adjustable and upholstered in high-quality Nappa leather. There are also new colour combinations: pastel silver with stone-grey contrast stitching, palomino brown with steel-grey seams and black with utopia-blue stitching. You can always make the interior more your own with Audi exclusive and choose from a variety of colour and material options.
The Audi virtual cockpit: keep the essentials in view
Engine start-up, exhaust sound, driving dynamics and gear changes can all be controlled from the buttons on the R8 Coupé V10 performance quattro performance steering wheel. A range of innovative technologies come as standard including MMI Navigation plus with Audi connect, Audi Drive Select, which lets you customise the drive to suit you, and the fully customisable Audi Virtual Cockpit, which replaces the traditional instrument cluster with a high-resolution 12.3” LCD screen.
The specified fuel consumption and emission data have been determined according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. Since 1st September 2017, certain new vehicles are already being type-approved according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Starting on September 1st 2018, the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) will be replaced by the WLTP in stages. Owing to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured according to the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those measured according to the NEDC. Therefore, the usage of CO2 emission values measured according to WLTP for vehicle taxation from 1st September 2018 on can cause changes in this regard as well. For further information on the differences between the WLTP and NEDC, please visit www.audi.de/wltp.
We are currently still required by law to state the NEDC figures. In the case of new vehicles which have been type-approved according to the WLTP, the NEDC figures are derived from the WLTP data. It is possible to specify the WLTP figures voluntarily in addition until such times as this is required by law. In cases where the NEDC figures are specified as value ranges, these do not refer to a particular individual vehicle and do not constitute part of the sales offering. They are intended exclusively as a means of comparison between different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (e.g. add-on parts, different tyre formats, etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption, CO2 emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle. Further information on official fuel consumption figures and the official specific CO₂ emissions of new passenger cars can be found in the guide “Information on the fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and electricity consumption of new cars”, which is available free of charge at all sales dealerships and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Strasse 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen, Germany (www.dat.de).
