Many advantages combined

With the electric motor, you can complete many everyday short trips. For longer journeys, you can count on the proven range provided by the combustion engine, which brings you confidently to your destination. This mode holds the charge of the battery and through recuperation even partly recharges it so that at the end of a long cross-country trip you can switch back to purely electric mode for a relaxed drive through the city.

Choice of drive mode: four driving modes

The form of drive that is used can be controlled in the Audi Q5 TFSI e via four different driving modes: purely electric driving (EV), primary use of the combustion engine (Hold), increase the battery charge for later electric driving (Charge)², or efficient interaction (Hybrid).

Home charging

The standard e-tron compact charging system is available for charging at home. It consists of a control unit including a vehicle connection cable and two different mains connection cables (with household and industrial plugs).

New lighting scenarios

Grouping the OLEDs into small, individually controllable segments with a three-dimensional layout produces an impressive light arrangement, which makes it possible to create new lighting scenarios. When purchasing a vehicle, customers have a choice of three tail light signature designs with which to add a personal touch. In addition, depending on driving mode, the character of the tail light signature is adapted automatically when in use. The optional digital OLED combination rear lights keep a proximity detection⁴ ready: If the vehicle is stationary and another vehicle or other road users approach from behind to within two meters, all OLED segments are automatically activated as a visible area magnification.

Upgrade your everyday

Combining size, sporty performance and functionality, the new Audi Q5 TFSI e is a premium SUV for everyday life. The rear seat backrest, which comprises three segments, can be moved fore and aft as required and its angle adjusted. The battery for the electric motor is integrated space savingly below the loading area. This allows a trunk volume of 465 liters, and even up to 1,405 liters with the seats folded down. In combination with the optional convenience key with sensor-controlled release of the luggage compartment lid, a foot gesture (kicking motion) at the rear of the vehicle is all that is required to unlock, open and close the luggage compartment lid. In addition, manually lowering the vehicle height via the optional adaptive air suspension makes loading easier.
