The engine – the heart of the Audi S5 Cabriolet. The torque and acceleration will already impress in the first few metres. The 3.0 TFSI V6 spontaneously comes to life, six turbocharged cylinders release 245 kW of power. Just like the A5 Cabriolet, the S5 Cabriolet has efficient TFSI® technology. It has a 3.0 TFSI V6 engine. An innovative mechanically-driven supercharger system with charge air intercooler is employed here and turns the six-cylinder engine into a compact powerhouse with moderate fuel consumption. This is assisted by the startstop system that switches the engine off automatically in different standstill situations, and switches it on again when the brake is released. The S5 Cabriolet is exclusively available with the fast 7-speed double clutch S tronic and quattro® all-wheel drive.
It is not just the peak torque of 440 Nm; also impressive is the torque curve, with at least 90 % of the maximum torque being available across a speed range of 2,200 to 5,900 rpm. Thanks to its spontaneous responsiveness and exceptional power delivery across the entire speed range, the 6-cylinder engine promotes a particularly dynamic driving style. It accelerates the S5 Cabriolet from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
