More than 400 Nm is available at an engine speed of only just over 1,000 rpm. And it reaches 540 Nm at only 3,000 rpm. As a result, the Audi S6 Avant accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Its governed top speed is 250 km/h.

The V10 FSI® high-performance engine in the Audi S6 Avant ensures superior propulsive power at all times thanks to a displacement of 5.2 litres. But the enormous torque of this engine is only one aspect – the other side of the V10 is revealed by the high engine speeds which it seems to achieve effortlessly. The high output of 320 kW (435 bhp) is available at a sportscar-like 6,800 rpm. Only very few naturally aspirated engines have comparably high power reserves over such a wide speed range. As a result of the high compression ratio of 12.5:1 in conjunction with FSI® direct injection, the 10-cylinder unit achieves moderate fuel consumption in relation to its power output.

When adopting an enthusiastic driving style the power reserves of the V10 engine can be fully utilised with the excellent support of the standard quattro® four-wheel drive with its 40:60 torque split between front and rear. Whether on a short, sporty trip along country roads or a comfortable long-distance journey: the V10 FSI® engine in the Audi S6 Avant always provides an exceptional experience of power and sound.
