All engines in the Audi A6 allroad quattro feature efficiency-enhancing direct injection. This creates a particularly favourable relationship between supreme power development and good fuel consumption for all model versions.
The most potent engine in the Audi A6 allroad quattro is a V8 FSI® unit for all fans of sporty power. From a displacement of 4.2 litres the free-revving engine produces 257 kW (350 bhp), delivering its high torque of 440 Nm from as low as 3,500 rpm. Equipped with this high-tech lightweight engine it takes the Audi A6 allroad quattro just 6.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Despite these figures – which are more typical of a sports car – and its off-road suspension and increased ground clearance the mighty 8-cylinder powerplant uses just 10.8 litres of fuel per 100 km.
The 3-litre V6 engine with TFSI® technology and compressor supercharging is also extremely powerful. Its output of 213 kW (290 bhp) is available across a wide range from 4,850 rpm to 6,800 rpm. The high torque of 420 Nm develops in the range from 2,500 rpm to 4,850 rpm. With this state-of-the-art direct-injection unit the Audi A6 allroad quattro accelerates from 0 to 100 km in only 6.3 seconds. In view of the remarkable performance figures, fuel consumption is very moderate at 9.7 litres per 100 km.
Consumption figures and emission values:
Fuel consumption, combined: 9.7-10.8 l/100 km
CO2 emissions, combined: 225-257 g/km
The Audi A6 allroad quattro comes with a choice of two state-of-the-art V6 diesel engines. The top unit is the 3.0 TDI®, which with its 176 kW (240 bhp) delivers positively sporty performance figures along with very good fuel consumption of only 7.2-7.5 litres per 100 km. The substantial torque of this high-tech diesel unit – 450 Nm (500 Nm with tiptronic) – accelerates the Audi A6 allroad quattro® with a 6-speed manual gearbox to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds, or with tiptronic in 7.4 seconds.
The 140 kW (190 bhp) 6-cylinder 2.7 TDI® unit is also as smooth-running and as it is fuel-efficient, and impresses with a torque of 450 Nm from as low as 1,400 rpm.
Consumption figures and emission values:
Fuel consumption, combined: 7.2-7.5 l/100 km
CO2 emissions, combined: 189-199 g/km
