A total of nine engines are available for the Audi A3 Sportback, including seven state-of-the-art four-cylinder units featuring direct injection and turbocharger technology. The strengths of the TFSI® and TDI® units: propulsive power, refinement and efficiency.
To be fast you need a potent engine. To keep ahead you need an engine that is smart when it comes to energy use. The TFSI® and TDI® engines for the Audi A3 Sportback deliver both: outstanding performance along with the lowest possible fuel consumption.
The performance spectrum of the three TFSI® engines ranges from 92 kW (125 bhp) in the Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI to 147 kW (200 bhp) in the Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro. The 1.4 TFSI® unit with a start-stop system as standard replaces engine capacity with a turbocharger. From a displacement of only 1,390 cc it produces 200 Nm of torque. Combined fuel consumption: only 5.8* l/100 km. The 2.0 TFSI® engine has motorsport in its DNA: 147 kW (200 bhp) at a maximum torque of 280 Nm between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. As a result, the Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Consumption figures and emission values for the A3 Sportback:
Fuel consumption, combined: 5.8-7.6 l/100 km
